Literary and Audiovisual Translations + Publications
I am a Literary and Audiovisual Translator, therefore I have also participated in a myriad of different projects apart from video game localization. Here are some:
Alongside two amazing translators, we embarked on the journey of translating into English the non-fiction novel of the Argentinean author, Eduardo Giusiano. It's based on the family's real adventures all throughout the world. The novel was 90k words long.
I worked in the subtitles in Spanish Latam of some TEDx videos, focused mostly on Education, Art and Travelling.
Together with Brenda, my fellow translator of Guardians of Dreams, we collaborated in the AATI magazine "Calidoscopio" with an article called "Traducción de Guardianes de sueños: una aventura compartida" (The translation of Guardians of Dreams: a shared adventure).
Collaboration in the magazine: The Translation Process Series. Through the AI Glass and What Translation Found There. Volume 3
Together with Translators' Tale Team, we collaborated in the Translation magazine with an article titled: "AI or Human Translation? Thoughts on Today’s Best Video Game Localization Practices". Here we compared some of our human translations of Fix Fox with those generated by ChatGPT, highlihgting why human expertise remains irreplaceable in video game localization. Our analysis demonstrated that artificial intelligence still has a long way to go before it can match the creativity and cultural sensitivity of human translators.
